The International Buddhist Confederation is a global umbrella body that represents the Collective Wisdom and United Voice of Buddhists worldwide. The IBC includes within its membership the most senior Buddhist representatives and has among its patrons the supreme religious leadership of numerous Buddhist countries.
The IBC is headquartered in New Delhi, India, the land from where all Buddhist traditions trace their roots. The IBC works to preserve and revitalize Buddhist heritage, particularly in India, working closely with the Central and State governments to improve connectivity, infrastructure and services for pilgrims and other visitors.
The IBC represents the rich diversity of Buddhism, providing a platform for the global Buddhist community to enjoy meaningful participation in the global discourse, to share their wisdom, promote their values and preserve their heritage.
